Interim Black Stars Coach Kwasi Appiah has been tasked to lead the team later this month in Dubai in their quest to avenge the heavy 5-0 defeat suffered at the hands of Saudi Arabia three years ago during an international friendly.
The match fixed for November 17 will be Kwasi Appiah’s second in charge as a stopgap coach of the team since the departure of Milovan Rajevac.
The ex-Ghana international must ensure the Black Stars improve upon the poor performance exhibited in the goalless drawn game against Sudan in last month’s continental qualifier.
The Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, Fred Pappoe who confirmed this to Joy Sports and explained the decision to play the Asian giants said the association considered the form of the Saudi team, the proposed venue of the match, how easy it is to move to the venue and many factors before choosing to play them.
