Medeama’s group members Young African and MO Bejaia will clash in Algeria with an eye of topping the group after the first round of games.

Defending title-holders Etoile are in an all-North African Group B with FUS Rabat and Kawkab Marrakech both of Morocco and Al Ahly Tripoli of Libya.
Etoile du Sauhel are chasing a record-equalling third Confederation Cup title will begin away to Moroccan side Kawkab Marrakech while Al Ahli Tripoli of Libya will travel to Rabat to face FUS Rabat.
In the Champions League
Egyptian giants AL Ahly are on the comeback trail, and TP Mazembe’s elimination in the qualifying rounds has set the scene for Martin Jol’s side to return to the summit of African club football. Their road to glory begins against Zesco United who remain the only side left standing in the competition to have never won it before.
Ivorian side ASEC Mimosas have flattered to deceive in recent seasons, failing to build on the continental title they won in 1998. The Abidjan side begin against Wydad Cassablanca who can’t be overlooked after dumping reigning champions TP Mazembe out of the competition.
Not long ago, Enyimba not only won the Champions League, but also retained it, becoming one of the few sides to have achieved such a glorious feat. Following five straight years away from the group stage they return to face Zamalek who have who conceded just one goal in their last 4 games which have included double headers against Union Douala and MO Bejaia.
The fourth North African side in the competition is ES Setif. Their inclusion has meant the North Africa has contributed half of the teams competing in the group stage. They face a Mamelodi Sundowns team who are fortunate to be in the competition after CAF expelled their conquerors AS Vita.
