Founder and bankroller of King Faisal Alhaji Grunsah has hit out at former players of the club for failing to show support to the club which groomed them.
King Faisal are currently going through a patchy spell after being relegated from the top flight two seasons ago.
With a legal case pending against the Ghana Football Association, the club remains hopeful of finding its way back into the Premier League but the negligence of some former players does not excite the bank roller.
“Some of the players the club nurtured them are now failing to help the club. The players don’t remember that it wasn’t through their family when they travelled abroad but rather it was through football,” he told Asempa Sports.
“I personally risked my life for majority of these players because I knew what these players can do when the opportunity is given to them. I did that with no negotiations and now they don’t even care to remember the club again.
“I can tell you confidently that majority of King Faisal players have travelled to play abroad and some of them have ever never seen me and said this is token to help the club or this is for you Alhaji Gruzah personally.”
“It not that I am in need now but my plea is that they should come and help the club because they know the benefits they have gained from King Faisal.”
