Medeama posted a 2-0 win over Techiman City in their final outstanding Ghana Premier League fixture on Tuesday.
Striker Bismark Oppong opened the scoring for the home side with a sublime finish two minutes to end the first half before Kwesi Donsu sealed victory from the spot kick.
The fixture had been rained off twice, prompting the early kick-off on Tuesday morning.
The Mauve and Yellows enjoyed the chunk of possession and deservedly shot into the lead after Oppong connected beautifully from Kwame Boahene’s pass.
Free-kick expert Kwesi Donsu increased the tally from the spot after tormentor Bismark Oppong was brought down in the box.
The two-time Ghanaian FA Cup holders move up to 5th on the table with 26 points from 15 games.
The win will serve as real boost to the side ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup group opener against TP Mazembe.
