Samuel Inkoom scored for Basel in their 3-1 victory against Italy's AS Roma Tuesday to revive their hopes of advancing from the Champions League group stage.
The goal was the first for the Ghanaian full-back in Europe and it helped improve Basel's chances of qualifying.
Basel lost its opening two matches to Cluj and Bayern Munich but now is tied with Roma with three points each in Group E.
Alexander Frei put the Swiss champion ahead at the Stadio Olimpico, and but Marco Borriello equalized for Roma in the 21st.
Inkoom restored the Basel’s lead when he found the target with an angled shot after beating former Italy international Simone Perrotta to the ball. Cabral sealed the win in injury time.
