Accra Hearts of Oak full back Isaac Oduro is on the road to recovery after a broken leg ruled him out of the first half of the season.

The left full back broke his leg during Hearts’ MTN FA Cup defeat to Samartex at Samreboi.

Oduro, who had lost his place in the team to Kennedy Appiah, was aiming to regain his place before the tragic incident.

There is however good news for him with  the cast on his leg set to be removed this week paving the way for player to commence training on the field.

“I am working with people I can trust, and, I am hopeful of making a full recovery from this unfortunate setback,” he told the club’s official newspaper, the Hearts News.

“I keep working hard to be back to full fitness, and, I am confident that the fans will see me back in action at the earliest,” he added.

“The medical team is working around the clock to make sure that I get back as soon as possible, and, I must say a big thank you to them for their concern,” Oduro stated.

Hearts will hope Oduro as well as the injured Richard Yamoah, Samudeen Ibrahim and Thomas Abbey all regain full fitness to help the Phobians end their seven year wait for a league title.
