Division Two clubs in the Upper West region have accused the Regional FA Chairman, Yahaya Biyad of deliberately delaying the registration process of clubs to prevent many of them from registering.
The clubs say the chairman is aware he will lose the impending Regional FA elections early next year because of his bad policies and is therefore bent on disenfranchising them ahead of the RFA elections.
The FA rules mandate only registered Second Division Clubs to take part in the RFA elections but clubs in the Upper West region say they are yet to know how much the registration will cost and the modalities thereof.
Other RFA’s have announced the fee involved in the registration process but that of the Upper West is yet to be known.
Faustino Aspirala who is CEO of Division Two side Spanky Soccer Academy in Wa said the delay was intentional.
They clubs also said the Chairman is planning a 100% increase in last year’s GHc120 for the registration but the Regional FA Chairman, Yahaya Biyad said that is untrue.
He said the regional FA will fix an amount taking into consideration the peculiar needs of the region.
