Medeama made it three straight wins in the Ghana Premier League after a hard fought 1-0 win over Liberty Professionals in an outstanding fixture at the Karl Reindorf park.
Attacking midfielder Kwesi Donsu scored a first half free kick to give new coach Prince Owusu a win on his debut.
Donsu's conversion was his second in successives game. Medeama have thus scored in all their three games since qualifying for the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The frontline of Liberty led by Bernard Arthur and Latif Blessing were largely ineffectual as they huffed and puffed all game without creating any real openings.
The result hampered Liberty’s chances of going second in the league who have now gone two games without a win in their backyard.
Medeama on the other hand, move to sixth on the league table with a game in hand against Techiman City.
