Communications director of the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Saanie Daara, has stated the association will engage management of GN Bank, sponsors of the Division One League, to find a solution to the current situation at hand.
GN Bank feel hooliganism in the league has become rampant without serious treatment by the GFA thus suspending their deal with the Football Association.
But Daara believes both parties need to hold clear the air talks as the GFA have put measures in place to curb hooliganism.
“We as the Ghana Football Association say that we want to engage him, tell him the measures we have put in place to ameliorate it if not completely eradicate it,” he told Joy Sports.
“The measures will basically take in to stem it. We want to get to the bottom of this matter.”
“Within the powers of the GFA, what must be done has been done and we will continue to do it.”
“We need to go the next step and that is the security agencies particularly the police who are paid to come to our matches, to police our matches to be able to arrest some culprits and put them before the law court.”
