DREAMS VS HEARTS
This will be undeniably the game of the round with Dreams hoping to be the first team to beat Hearts while the Phobians are on the road. It has been a patchy half season for Dreams but victory in Obuasi over Edubiase has restored confidence for Akonnor and his side. The Phobians once again enter an away game on the back of a poor performance at home. Hearts will be aiming to go through the first round unbeaten at home and with an added motivation of going top should while Wa All Stars fail to better their results.
* This will be the first encounter between the two clubs in Ghana premier league.
KOTOKO VS TECHIMAN CITY
Asante Kotoko will be looking for an immediate response to the defeat in Wa when they host Techiman City. Michael Osei described their defeat in Wa as unfortunate and has already set sights on correcting the wrongs. “I think it was very unfortunate we conceded that early goal- I expected us to react quickly but things just didn’t go as planned. We would have to forget about this and look forward to the Techiman City game on Sunday,” Osei said. Kotoko have scored 7 goals in their last three home matches and will be aiming to end the first round in such good fashion. Techiman City will hope to put their midweek disappointment behind them and cause a major upset. The new entrants struggled at home as they only managed a 1-1 draw with Ashantigold. Only the second time they have dropped points at home.
* Asante Kotoko encounter with Techiman City on Sunday 29th May, 2016 @ the Baba Yara Sports Stadium will be their first ever meeting in the Ghana League since the competition started in 1958.

Solomon Odwo lamented on Chelsea’s insipid performance against Inter Allies which saw his side well beaten it Tema. The coach, who described his players to be fast asleep in the first will need to perform a revival act to keep his side wide awake as they host Wa All Stars brimming with confidence after beating Kotoko.
