Access Bank (Ghana) Limited, Monday launched what it says is a maiden Customer Service Week in Accra.
According to the bank, the week-long celebration which runs from Monday 4th to Friday 8th October, 2010 under the theme "A Tradition of Service," is a global event observed across all Access Bank subsidiaries purposely to show gratitude to the Bank's customers and to recognise the people who serve and support customers with the highest degree of care and professionalism.
The bank marks the week annually to re-affirm its commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction at all times and also contributes to boosting the morale, motivation and teamwork of staff to be exemplary customer service ambassadors.
The launch of the event at the Osu branch saw many customers who walked in to transact business celebrated by management and senior staff of the bank as they were ushered in to cut a cake designed purposely for the occasion.
Mr. Yomi Akapo, Access Bank Country Managing Director who expressed his excitement at the maiden launch and invited the bank’s customers and prospective customers to visit any Access Bank branch for “a new experience in world-class banking service delivery,” said the Customer Service Week is a medium for engaging with the customer on an emotional level, which also helps to increase staff awareness of achieving and maintaining Customer Service Excellence, and experience he described as a key success factor for the bank.
