The road to the next World Cup in Russia takes another turn when third round matches are honoured in September, but Ghana will know who to face next month.
The draw for the African Zone will be held at Confederation of African Football headquarters in Cairo on June 24.
Ghana earned the right to be at this stage following an aggregate win against Comoros over two legs to book a ticket alongside 19 other sides from across the continent.
The Stars are likely to be seeded, although the draw format is yet to be released.
