FA Cup committee chairman Kurt Okraku has revealed his outfit are hoping to use the newly constructed Cape Coast stadium for this year’s FA Cup final.
Addressing the media during the draw for the round of 16, Okraku stated his outfit will negotiate the availability of the stadium as well stating packages for the remaining clubs.
“In the past years we have tried to maintain the integrity of the game and I am very happy about it.”
“The fixtures we had are very interesting fixtures because supporters will like to watch Okwahu United or Storm against Kumasi Asante
Kotoko because it the pick of the pack.”
“We will negotiate with the Sports Ministry and the National Sports Authority and when we get the approval will play the grand finale at the new Cape Coast Stadium.”
“Our awards night will come up in August and we will pick the best player, best defender and best discovery of the year and we are proposing to give out a land to the best player and we will give other stuffs as well but the entire package will be announced getting to the end of the season.”
“Every team will get five hundred cedis MTN talk time and every team is entitled to 25 percent of the gate in a form of money but in all the away team will receive three thousand Ghana cedis and the home team will receive two thousand five hundred Ghana cedis.”
The final for this year’s competition will be played in August.
