Black Stars head coach Milovan Rajevac has seven days to sign a new deal offered him by the Ghana Football Association or risk losing his job.
The Serb’s initial two-year contract expired last month but he stayed on to guide the team make a flying start in their 2012 Nations Cup qualifier, beating Swaziland 3-0 last Sunday.
Although both parties have agreed in principle for a four-year contract extension, Milovan Rajevac is yet to append his signature.
The 56-year-old over the weekend rubbished reports of signing for Saudi Arabian club and reiterated his interest in the Black Stars job.
Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi admits they would have to find a new coach if Rajevac’s seven-day ultimatum expires next Sunday.
“We pray and look forward to an early resolution of whatever difficulties he is facing back home. We have a time limit of seven days from today and on the expiry of that, if the news is not good it means we have to look elsewhere," Mr. Nyantakyi told sports journalist, Michael Oti Adjei
He said there is a possibility the coach could return to work with the Black Stars.
