WAFA coach John Killa is pleased with his side’s efforts after they picked up a point against Hearts of Oak in week 8 of the Ghana Premier League.”

The academy side picked their first point on the road after losing their first three away matches.

Attacker Charles Boateng put WAFA in the lead; the first away goal of WAFA this season, but Cosmos Dauda levelled the match with 20 minutes remaining.

Despite being put under intense pressure for the latter part of the game, WAFA stood resolute and for Killa, this was one of the best away games.

‘’This was one of our best games till now, they gave us the name that we can win only our home games, so with this point that story is past,” he told reporters after the game.

“I saw my team working very hard till the last minute and when you playing against Hearts of Oak, you know that when you are leading one zero you know that the pressure will come in the second half.”

“Unfortunately we had a big chance in the first half. If we scored the second goal in the first half, then the game is finished”

“Because of the 1-0, we told our players that most of the games that Hearts of Oak played, they scored the opponent in the second  half maybe because of the tactics maybe because of fitness, I don’t know, you have to ask their coach.”

“I think till the last minutes we did well, our fitness was stopped, our technical discipline was stopped and if you play away against hearts of Oak and you get a point then you did a great job today.”

WAFA play Ebusua Dwarfs this weekend without the suspended Samuel Tetteh. Their top scorer was sent off in the game in Accra after two bookable offences.
