The Western Regional Chairperson of 31st December Women's Movement, Mrs Christina Cobbina has called on women groups, advocates and activists to adopt new strategies and remain focused in their efforts to empower women in the country.
She made the call when addressing members of the Movement at a meeting to mark their 25th anniversary celebration at Bogoso.
Mrs Cobbina appealed to women at the grassroots to take proper care of the movement's projects in their communities for the benefit of society.
She asked the members to be firm and committed to activities of the movement and not be intimidated in their communities.
"The movement was established to improve the living standards of Ghanaian women and had brought women to the mainstream of development, women have gained recognition in decision-making, governance and in the traditional areas," she added.
