AshantiGold’s troubles were compounded after suffering a humiliating exit from the MTN FA Cup at the hands of second tier side Asokwa Deportivo .
The Miners were ousted after losing 4-2 on penalties with the game ending 1-1 in regulation time.
The Miners conceded on 38 minutes when Ernest Adu beautifully converted a free kick for the hosts.
When all it seemed doom and gloom for the Miners, Godfred Rockson popped up to head home a cross on 87 minutes to send the game to penalties.
During the penalty shootouts, Asokwa Deportivo converted all first four kicks but Godfre Rockson and Paul Abaka missed their kicks to send Deportivo through.
