Ghana national team manager Milovan Rajevac says he would stay true to his policy of not closing the doors of the Black Stars to any Ghana international.
As Rajevac prepares to announce the squad for the start of the 2012 qualifying to the African Nations Cup, lots of talk have surrounded the future of certain players in the national team after Ghana's participation at the 2010 World Cup.
With emerging players pushing for roles in his squad, the future of some long-standing members have always been the subject matter in the local media.
Rajevac explains that no player has been axed from the national team but says the needs of the team would always determine who gets a call up.
"Much will depend on their [players] performance for getting an invitation," he said after watching the Black Stars play against South Africa in a friendly, Ghana’s first game since exiting in the quarter-finals at the World Cup.
"Myself and my staff always monitor the players both outside and here in Ghana to see who should be part of my team.
"So, every player always has a chance. No player has been axed from the national team. We always need the best at anytime. But the needs of the team and what a player can do to help us achieve our targets would determine who gets invited."
Rajevac is now focusing on qualifying for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon/Equatorial Guinea with the opening game against Swaziland next month.
Ghana are in Group 1 alongside Congo, Sudan and Swaziland and the Black Stars' first qualifying game is away to Swaziland on September 5 in Lombamba.
