The Nyinahin magistrate court has sentenced a 28-year-old farmer to six months imprisonment for unlawful entry and stealing soup, stew and 20 balls of kenkey, property of Madam Cecilia Konadu, a chop bar keeper.
Amidu Acheampong pleaded guilty and asked for leniency.
Police Chief Inspector David Nkrumah Danso told the court that on April 6 this year, the complainant returned from an all night prayer service and detected that the items were missing.
When Acheampong's room was searched the items were found and the report was made to the police.
