Berekum Chelsea defeated Medeama by a single goal in their outstanding Ghana Premier League fixture on Wednesday.
The result leaves Medeama just above the relegation zone while Chelsea move up to third.
Defender Nicholas Opoku headed home the only goal of the match as early as the 7th minute to maintain Chelsea’s impressive home form.
The Tarkwa side were hoping to bounce back with a win after crushing out of the MTN FA Cup over the weekend to Liberty.
But they failed to recover from Opoku's early goal to condemn to their third defeat in six matches.
Medeama will next host Bechem United on Sunday before traveling to Sudan to play Al Shendi in the first leg tie of the CAF Confederation Cup on April 10.
