Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac is upbeat about the development of his team ahead of the start of the 2012 African Nations Cup qualifier against Swaziland.
The Black Stars lost 1-0 in a friendly to South Africa at the Soccer City in Johannesburg on Wednesday in a competitive game before the African qualifiers begin next month.
Despite the result of the game, Rajevac who missed several regular starters, fielded four players who missed the 2010 Fifa World Cup finals. He was satisfied with the performance as Bright Addae and Cofie Bekoe were handed their debuts with second half appearances.
Rajevac admits inexperience denied his side a favourable result in the friendly match.
"I know for us it was a chance to see some players but to be honest we were far from our previous form, like the kind of form we had during the World Cup.
"We were not fully fit and definitely not in competitive form, but Bafana definitely deserved to win the match. I was very impressed with their teamwork throughout the whole game.
"Ghana is a young team and we continue to learn, but credit to Bafana Bafana. I think they played a very good game," Rajevac said in a post match interview.
The Ghana coach who explained that last night's match was the last preparatory game before the Nations Cup qualifier against Swaziland in September says he is now looking to the future.
"We are now looking ahead to the next game. We would have to look at every game, look at all the players and see who would really do a good job for the jersey and put forward our best team."
