UniBank urges on Stars to Victory

The Official Bank of the Black Stars, UniBank, has urged the Stars to go all out and defeat the Mozambican national soccer Team on Thursday and in the return match to ensure a smooth qualification to the AFCON 2017 Tournament to be held in Gabon.

Executive Director of the bank Owusu Ansah-Awere said this when he led a delegation to visit the team during their training session on Tuesday, March 22, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

He recounted the partnership entered into by the two corporate entities which culminated into a 3 year Sponsorship Contract worth USD1.2 million and disclosed that the partnered has been very fruitful and beneficiary for both parties.

"Since the partnership, we have always been with you at your training sessions and tournaments here and abroad. We were with you in Brazil 2014 World Cup as well as the 10th AFCON held at the Equatorial Guinea from January-February 2015; hence our visit to you today to inform you that you must win to make the bank and mother Ghana proud on Thursday; we are solidly behind you" he told the excited players, technical team and other management committee members present.

He promised the bank's massive support for the team on Thursday.

On behalf of the players, the Deputy Captain, Agyeman Badu, assured the bank's delegation that they will win and qualify for AFCON 2017. He thanked the bank for the excellent banking and financial support it has rendered to the team since 2013.

Present at the event were Richard Osei Anane, Head, New Business, uniBank and George Afriyie, Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee and other members.
