A new era of a Black Stars team will begin under the Serbian trainer after agreeing to stay as Ghana Coach for few more years.
Milovan Rajevac is due in Ghana on Friday after holidays in his homeland following a memorable world cup campaign where the Black Stars reached the quarter finals and equaled Africa’s record at the tournament set by Cameroon and Senegal.
The 54 year old is expected to sign a contract renewal before leading the Black Stars team to play South Africa in an international friendly in Johannesburg on Wednesday, August 11 according to president of the football association Kwasi Nyantakyi.
He told Joy Sports the FA will agree on the tenure as well as financial aspects of the new deal with the coach when he returns from Serbia.
Meanwhile Milovan’s latest call up for this friendly is dominated by up to eight players who did not play at the world cup, taking the places of established stars such as Stephen Appiah, Sulley Muntari and John Mensah.
The sources explain Rajevac’s plan is to make major changes to the team for the future.
