Hearts of Oak produced an  impressive performance to beat Bechem United 3-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium. The Phobians did not take long to make their intentions known with two shots on target in the first minute. Despite the bright start, the Phobians had to wait till the 37th minute to take the lead when striker Samuel Yeboah reacted quickest to a loose ball in the penalty area to fire the ball into the net. Hearts got their second in the second half when midfielder Mustapha Esuuman’s shot deflected off Patrick Cole into the net. Two became three when Isaac Mensah fired from six yards after great work from Samuel Yeboah and his partner Cosmos Dauda. The Phobians however conceded their first goal of the campaign when John Nyamekye scored from close range.

Sekondi Hasaacas were held to a 1-1 draw by champions AshantiGold at the Essipong Stadium.Eric Bekoe fired Hasmal into the lead from the spot in the 53rd minute but defender Kadri Mohammed levelled for the travelers two minutes from time. Ashantigold dominated possession for large portions of the game  but it was Hasmal who scored first after a Samuel Afful explosive run from the right forced an AshantiGold defender to handle the ball in the box. Bekoe stepped up to send Robert Dabuo the wrong side for the opener. Ashantigold huffed and puffed for the equalizer and were duly rewarded when Kadri Mohammed rose high to head home a Fuseini Nuhu cross late into the game.

A brace from Sadick Adams ensured Asante Kotoko’s winless continued. Adams scored twice in the space of four minutes to extend Chelsea's unbeaten record at home to 40 games. Kotoko were expected to record a positive result after back to back draws but it was the Blues who dominated the game from the start. The Blues were by far the better side in the first half as they dominated play and made the most of their chances. Sadick Adams twice beat the offside trap to score his second and third goals of the season. Despite upping their game in the second half, Kotoko were unable find the back of the net.

Aduana Stars picked their first win of the season after beating WAFA 1-0 at the Agyemang Badu Park. Godfred Saka got the winner from the spot on the nick of halftime. Aduana  were under the Romanian trainer Cioaba Aristica for the first time and his presence could have inspired the victory. The Dormaa side have now scored their first goal of the season and kept their first clean sheet of the season.

Liberty Professionals kept their fine home run on track with a slender 1-0 win over Techiman City FC. Talented playmaker Latif Blessing scored the only goal of the season with a header from a Tamimu Muntari cross.  Techiman City defended gallantly for large portions of the day but were undone by a moment of brilliance from Tamimu and Blessing.  Techiman City went in search of the leveler but the Liberty defence marshalled by police officer Sam Sarfo stood resolute to fetch the Dansoman side all three points.

New Edubiase Utd and Inter Allies FC played out a goalless 0-0 draw at the Len Clay Stadium. New Edubiase United dominated both halves of the game but a combination of poor finishing and exceptional goalkeeping by Kwame Baah kept the scoreline barren. A good point for Herbert Addo and Inter Allies but they will sweating over the fitness Ropapa Mensah was substituted in the first half after sustaining an injury ahead of hosting Hearts of Oak next weekend.
