Ashantigold coach Bashir Hayford believes his team are still in the process of finding their rhythm after several first team departures in the off-season.
The league champions lost as many as five players to foreign clubs in the off season with the Miners injecting new faces in their squad.
This has led to a generally inconsistent start for the Miners this season. Ashantigold are undefeated in the league after a win and two draws but have lost the Super Cup and knocked out of the CAF Champions League.
However, Bashir Hayford believes they will come good with time.
“This is the beginning of the league we have played only three matches. We are blending old and new players.”
“We have about only fifty per cent of the players we used last season.”
“We had to replace them so it will take time for them to gel.”
Ashantigold play Hasaacas in matchday four of the Ghana Premier League at Sekondi.
