The Second Africa Growth and Opportunity Act, AGOA-dialogue begins in Accra Tuesday.
Organisers say discussions will focus on how Ghanaian traders can meet international standards to reap the full benefits of AGOA.
It allows traders in selected African countries to access the U.S. market duty-free.
The dialogue organized by African Center for Development Law and Policy is being attended by exporters and other interest groups.
Program Coordinator Kofi Abotsi tells Joy News Ghana is yet to take full advantage of the initiatives.
“This workshop is among others designed to see how best to take advantage of the AGOA initiative to maximize Ghana’s trading potential,” he said.
The AGOA policy dialogue will take place at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
