Prices of Black Stars paraphernalia shoot up as the team gets set to etch its name in World Cup history
Prices of Black Stars jerseys and other paraphernalia have increased significantly over the past few days even as the team gets ready to attempt a new record and engrave its name in World Cup history.
The team will be the first African side to make it into the semi finals if it is able to triumph over the Uruguayans on Friday.
Joy Business checks indicate the progress of the Black Stars has led to a sharp increase in demand for jerseys and the rest.
According to the traders, this has come about as a result of bulk purchases by some other traders.
A Black Star jersey which used to sell for 15 Ghana cedis is now going for 20 cedis.
Some traders on the streets of Osu here in Accra tell JOY Business they expect further hikes should the Stars win again.
