Kevin-Prince Boateng wants to “stay at Milan for a long time” and assures they are “united to beat Genoa.”
The Ghana international spoke to Milannews.it while at a publicity event at the Milan Megastore.
“I invited my teammates out to dinner because I am back and scored a goal. I thought this was the right moment to have this get-together,” declared Prince.
“We all ate together last night and said we have to win against Genoa. We are all united to beat Genoa, that is our objective. We won’t talk about third place, as our objective is simply to win.
“As there is Fiorentina-Inter on Sunday, at least someone will drop points in that match, so we have to do our job and win to take advantage.
“I am working to soon get back to being 100 per cent fit, then we’ll see when I can start a game. I’d like to play more, but I have all the time I need to make my mark.”
Boateng had left for Schalke 04, but returned as a free agent during the January transfer window.
“I hope to always bring something to the team, also in terms of character. I am always positive and try to let everyone realise we must step on to the field with joy.
“That’s what happened with Inter and my speech fired up the team. We are all on the same page, we think the same way, which is why we play well and win.
“I’d like to stay at Milan for as long as possible. I want to prove that I am important to this team.”
Boateng was asked which position he preferred to play in.
“Obviously everyone has preferences, but I won’t say that here or tomorrow there will be controversy in the papers! I just told the Coach that I’ll play where he needs me to.”
