Chairman of Danish club FC Nordsjaelland, Tom Vernon has backed Ghanaian coach Otto Addo to succeed at the club.
Addo was appointed assistant coach to Kasper Hjulmand earlier this month and is in line with the club’s motive of grooming the next generation of football’s great players and coaches.
In an exclusive interview with Joy Sports about his plans for Nordsjaelland, Tom Vernon believes bringing Otto Addo on board is in line with the club’s vision.
“He is doing a very good job. He is a good coach and I think he is a great prospect for Ghana football in the future.”
Otto Addo’s role would be highly instrumental in helping talented young players at the Superliga club, many of whom would be from Ghana; settle into the team and life in Europe smoothly.
Since his retirement, Addo has been working mainly with young players rising to become head scout for the Black Stars.
According to Vernon, Nordsjaelland is also expected to name a number of players from the Right to Dream Academy in their first team shortly.
Tom Vernon is the founder of the hugely successful Right to Dream Academy in Ghana which has been training young men and recently women for many years.
Notable players that were groomed at the academy include Lorient and Black Stars striker, Majeed Warris and Ghana youth international Yaw Yeboah.
