The Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) says it is still working on a transmission line that developed a fault last week.
The repair works have led to some unannounced outages across the country.
A fault in the 330kv transmission line resulted in a ‘partial system collapse’ on Thursday January 21, 2016, plunging almost the whole nation into darkness.
Many people were disorganised by the unfortunate outage on that day.
By close of the same day, power had been restored to the affected areas.
According to a short statement from the Power Ministry, the repair works is causing a system challenge. This led to some parts of the country going off at about midday today 25th January 2016.
But engineers of GRIDCo have however isolated the fault and begun restoring power to the affected areas, the statement indicated.
The Ministry has however apologised for the inconvenience caused by the power outage.
