Veteran actor Solomon Sampah has died, Myjoyonline.com can confirm.
The actor died Friday around 8pm after he was rushed to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after a short illness.
Emmanuel Sampah, brother of the late actor, told Myjoyonline.com that Solomon complained his health had deteriorated Friday.
He said the actor, who died at age 70, had not been well for the past three months.
His body has been deposited at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital Mortuary.
Solomon is well known for the popular Original Hacks commercial and has starred in several movies including ‘Foul Play’, ‘Queen’s Bride’, ‘Owuo Safoa’, and ‘Ultimate Paradise’ television series.
He was survived by a wife and eight children – four males and four females.
Solomon Sampah, born in James Town, British Accra, would have turned 71 on February 14.
