Months back, he only sought to make the grade into the Ghana team that had qualified for the World Cup finals in South Africa.
With three days to the start of the competition, Isaac Vorsah, having secured his place in the final 23 now appears central to Milovan Rajevac’s team as he approaches the competition with enough calm.
The turning point for the young defender came during January’s African Nations Cup in Angola where assured performances in the Ghana back-four helped the Black Stars finish as runners up.
Having established himself in the Black Stars team, Vorsah who combines composure with power says working as a unit will bring the best out of Ghana who open their campaign on June 13 against Serbia in Group D.
“It’s a big competition and I am happy to be in it. God willing, I hope to do my best for Ghana,” he told www.ghanafa.org.
“It’s always important that we work hard but as a strong unit. I have confidence that we can do well. We have to be calm.”
Vorsah, one of the 14 players in the Ghana squad who would be making their World Cup debut.
