Ghana’s Sulley Ali Muntari is once again embroiled in another controversy following reports he absconded from the team’s camp in Rotterdam.
Media reports allege that the Inter Milan midfielder left Rotterdam to England under the pretense of wanting to see doctors in England over an injury.
He is also alleged to have requested for a hotel room for himself but which was turned down by the FA.
Speaking to Joy Sports’ Ridwan Asante the spokesperson of the Ghana Football Association, Randy Abbey said the report is not true.
He said Sulley Muntari traveled with the team to England contrary to the reports.
On the alleged request for a hotel room for himself, the spokesperson said it had not come to his notice.
Muntari was axed from the team ahead of the Nations Cup in Angola on the grounds of indiscipline and was only admitted after an apology to the coach, Milovan Rajevac.
