Ex-Ghana captain CK Akunnor has questioned head coach Milovan Rajevac’s tactics following Tuesday night’s embarrassing 4-1 loss to Holland.
The former Eleven Wise coach wants to see an attacking football style at the World Cup and is less enthused about the Serb’s sit-back strategy.
“First of all we need to play with two tops(strikers). It gives you the impression that you want to win. If you start with one top-not seriously criticising the tactical play but it didn’t help us,” Akunnor told Joy FM.
“We were lucky in Angola. It was always not a comfortable situation but we managed to get to the final. I don’t think we can go away with this at the World Cup.
“Having said that Ghana is a strong side and we have to belief in ourselves. I believe we will see a different team, a different story against Latvia and we will be confident again before the start of the tournament.”
The former Wolfsburg captain as been contracted as a consultant analyst by African Union of Broadcasters during the World Cup.
