The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has been left in a deep state of mourning after its head of protocol Ibrahim Abubakar was shot dead by armed robbers early this morning.
Abubakar, who is highly respected among football administrators in Africa was shot dead by the robbers in his home.
It is unclear how he was attacked but the robbers were said to be seeking for huge stash of cash but to their disappointment they was no money which led to their ghastly attack.
According to the NFF, the body of Abubakar is being transported to his hometown of Kaduna where he will be buried later on Wednesday according to Islamic traditions.
