The fate and availability of Black Stars and Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien for the World Cup Cup will be known later Thursday.
The Chelsea Star and his doctors will arrive at the Black Stars World Cup base in Paris on Thursday for a crucial meeting with doctors of the Black Stars World Cup team.
The meeting is to decide on when Essien should return to full action.
The mercurial midfielder has been out since January after he was rushed back into action for the Black Stars in the Nation's Cup tournament.
He was expected to be out for six weeks but the injury was said to have developed some complications culminating in a four month lay off.
It will be a morale booster for the Black Stars if he is cleared to feature in the tournament.
Already Coach Milovan Rajevac is relishing a quick return of Essien to shore up the Stars squad.
The team is expected to play a training match Thursday after which an international friendly against Holland will be played June 1 and another on June 5 with Latvia.
