National Chapters committee chairman of Hearts of Oak, Barimah Atuahene has declared that he would give up his position as a member of the board despite his opposition to two newly appointed board members.
Atuahene has publicly expressed his discontentment with the appointment of Sowah Odotei and Alhaji Ankabi onto the board of management of the club.
According to Atuahene, although he would not quit his seat on the board, he wants to be on record to have vehemently opposed the appointment of the duo.
In an exclusive interview with Joy Sports, Barima Atuahene said:
“If really, the board is going ahead to approve the appointment of the two gentlemen,I will walk out of the meeting and meet my people."
"I will come back to give them (the board) the message which I discussed with my people. I will still be part of the board.”
Atuahene replaced Alhaji Akanbi as the chairman of the national chapters committee.
