President John Mahama has thanked God for the blessing and favour He has showered on Ghana in a short Christmas message.
The President posted the message on his Facebook wall, Friday.
“I thank God for the gift of life, health and the opportunity to share the love of the season with the children of Bole/Bamboi,” the President said.
Some Ghanaians are joining the rest of the world to celebrate Christmas, an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ.
Christmas is observed on December 25 as a religious and cultural celebration among billions of people around the world.
In Ghana the day is marked by Church activities and festivities.
Below is the President’s full Facebook post.
Joy to the world.
Xmas is here. It's a season of love and sharing.
"The more we share, the more we have".
I thank God for the gift of life, health and the opportunity to share the love of the season with the children of Bole/Bamboi.
We thank God for his continuous blessing and favour on our nation.
May we continue to be an oasis of tranquility in all life's storms.
Merry Christmas to all Ghanaians. May the season portend even greater success for ourselves and our country.
