GFA denies final 23 sorted

The Ghana Football Association, GFA, insists Milovan Rajevac has not settled on his list of 23 players for the 2010 World Cup after widespread local media reports based on the alleged leakage of squad numbers to kit manufacturers Puma. There have been many reports on which seven players have been dropped from the provisional 30-man squad for the World Cup and which 23 players are on the plane. And the source of that many reports has been a list forwarded to Puma for the mass production of replica jerseys based on the squad numbers of those who will represent Ghana at the World Cup. But GFA vice-president Fred Pappoe insists nothing is settled yet. "The FA has not forwarded any list to Puma, in fact that has not been the normal practice. Usually, they (Puma) send as the apparels with numbers embossed on them for us to verify the quality. "When we are satisfied with it (the kits), we go ahead to inscribe the names on the jerseys according to the list provided by the coach," Pappoe told Ghanasoccernet. Source: Kickoff.com
