Magnus Opare Asamoah, Deputy Minister of Transportation has pledged government's commitment to execute more road projects to facilitate the transportation of foodstuffs to marketing centres.
Mr Opare Asamoah also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Akuapem South made the this known at Ademorabe near Aburi in the Akuapem South District after he had inspected works on an eight -kilometre road from Aburi Djamacanso to Ademorobe and Oyibi, which links the main Accra-Dodowa road.
He said the project would make it possible for travellers to commute from Aburi, Ademorobe, Ahwerease and Tutu to Dodowa and Somanya by not passing through Accra.
The Minister said that the contract, which was awarded to Mustec Engineering Company Limited, 2006 is expected to be completed in September this year.
Mr Opare Asamoah also commissioned a 20 million- cedi place of convenience for the Ademorobe community, which has been designed to generate biogas.
The project was funded by the MP, through his share of the District Assemblies' Common Fund at the cost of 100 million cedis while the District Assembly also committed an additional 100 million cedis.
Nana Owusu Aduomere II, Gyasehene of Ademorobe commended the government for the road, toilet and other development projects in his community.
