Mobile phone giant, Huawei International is teaming up with local assembly company rLG Communications to produce mobile phones for the world market.
rLG will supply a hundred thousand phones under license from Huawei before the end of the year.
An MOU on the contract worth $2.5 million dollars has been signed between the two companies.
"For the Ghanaian market we are the lead network supplier for MTN, Vodaphone Zain and Tigo.
We hope we can corporate with rLG well Jakey Lee, Terminal Manager for Huawei Africa told Joy Business.
rLG CEO Roland Agambire says the collaboration will enable the company provide employable skills to many beneficiaries under the youth employment program.
