Hearts of Oak coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi has stated his team are far from their best as they continue to prepare for the upcoming league season.
The Phobians have endured a torrid pre-season so far, losing heavily to WAFA and failing to acquire their reported targets.
However, Yatsuhashi is unperturbed by these development as he focuses on the players currently at his disposal.
For the Japanese American, the team has improved greatly over the course of pre-season.
“There are many changes I have seen from the players, they are adapting and improving each day,” he told Asempa Sports
“But it is only the fourth week into it but there is a lot more we can do.”
“It is all about improvement. When we started our pre-season, they just came back from vacation. Their physical shape was very bad. Not only our players but for every club.”
“We had to improve their fitness. There are different training on fitness each day. Four weeks is a very short period of time.”
“We are far from our best at this point in time.”
Hearts of Oak will be travelling to Libya to play a two-club international friendly with Ittihad Tripoli on December 12 and 14.
