Ex-Ghana international Felix Aboagye has urged Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac to build his World Cup squad around the same core of players who have served the Black Stars so well in the past.
The Serbian will outdoor his 30 man provisional squad after a meeting with his employers this week but that has not stopped the debate about who is good to make the squad and who is not.
Aboagye who played for Ghana at the 1996 and 1998 Africa Cup of Nations reckons Rajevac does not need to fix what is not broken.
"There has been the core of the team for a while so my thinking is for Rajevac to stick to many of them unless injuries and forms dictate otherwise. I think he must go for experience and build his squad as he has done in the past around the likes of Essien, Muntari and Asamoah Gyan," he told KickOffGhana.com.
"You have to remember this is not a one off game. It is the world cup which requires so much."
Aboagye is confident though that Rajevac will get it right and that the Ghana team will shine in South Africa.
"I have seen this team play over and over again and I am convinced they will hold their own very well in South Africa."
