Glo Premier League: All the results of Week 29

The 2010 Glo Premier League is set for a historic finish with Ashgold and Aduana Stars all in contention for the title. Both teams secured priceless victories in their penultimate matches to push the title race to the last round of matches. Ashgold came from a goal down to beat a 10-man Wa All Stars 3-1 at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium in what could potentially be victory that will see them win the premier league title for the first time in 14 years. But they will have to suspend any jubilation until their last match, after Aduana Stars pipped Liberty Professionals by a lone goal at the Carl Reindorf Park in Dansoman. The debutants trail Ashgold by three points but have a superior head-to-head results. They need to win their last match and hope Ashgold loses to become the first team, at least in recent history, to have come from Division 1 to win the premier league. Hearts of Oak ended a rather promising season empty with a disappointing 1-1 drawn game against visiting King Faisal at the Ohene Djan stadium. Life at the bottom rungs of the league looks even more interesting with both teams from the Western Region confined to Division 1. Hasaacas lost 2-4 to Heart of Lions while Eleven Wise were trounced by Kumasi Asante Kotoko 3-1 to sum up a torrid season for the two Western Region based sides. They live the brand new Essipong stadium empty at least for the next season. Great Olympics won 2-0 against Kessben while RTU beat New Edubiase 2-1 whilst Arsenals drew 1-1 with Beechem Chelsea. A third candidate for relegation could come from any of RTU, New Edubiase and Great Olympics. Below is the full scorelines at the end of the penultimate round of matches.
