Ex-Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah has cautioned the Black Stars ahead of the group phase of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
The Al Khartoum coach noted that the group stage will comprise of the big teams on the continent which will require great effort from the team should they make their fourth successive World Cup appearance.
However, Appiah was optimistic the team will overcome all obstacles and make the tournament in Russia.
“I think the next stage, that's the group stage will be a little difficult unlike the preliminary rounds,” Appiah said.
“This stage is where you face all the big and good teams in Africa but not withstanding I know and believe the Black Stars can make it."
“They should just keep up their form and try as much as possible to get good results in the games, and I strongly believe they can qualify for Russia 2018."
Appiah is the first ever Ghanaian to qualify and lead the Black Stars to the FIFA World Cup.
