Hearts of Oak are on the verge of signing their first player in the off season after Dansoman based Liberty Professionals gave goalkeeper Daniel Agyei the all clear to discuss personal terms with the Phobians.

Hearts are actively looking for a goalkeeper to provide the much needed competition to number one Soulama Abdoulaye after parting ways with youngster Seidu Mutawakilu and experienced Tetteh Luggard.

The 20 time league champions see the former U-20 keeper as an ideal choice for the club with his quick reflexes and shot stopping skills brought to the fore time and again.

The 26 year old is reportedly interested in joining Hearts and will require an amount in the region of $42,000 to seal the deal.

Hearts have been quiet on the transfer front so far losing out on targets Ernest Sowah and Tuffour Frimpong to rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

The Phobians have also dispensed with the services of midfielder Kofi Abanga and striker Gilbert Fiamenyo after failing to renew their contracts with the club upon expiration.

The duo will be joined by defender Kweku Andoh who terminated his contract with the club after his playing time reduced drastically over the course of the season

Reports in the media also indicate the board has moved quickly to block the departure of key players after coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi placed them on the transfer list after failing to meet his requirement.

The players include captain Robin Gnagne, full back Isaac Oduro, midfielders Issah Mummuni, Emmanuel Hayford and Ashitey Ollenu and forwards Eric Kumi and Selasie Adjei.
