Hearts coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi has rubbished reports he is unhappy with the current training pitch of the Phobians.
The team currently train on a grassless pitch at the Police Depot in Tesano but the nature of the pitch has not deterred the Japanese American from implementing his strategy on the team.
According to Kenichi, the pitch is no different to the vast majority of pitches in the country.
“People are saying I’m not happy with the current training ground, I did not say that,” he told Asempa Sports
“It is not a high quality pitch but I don’t think it is any different from the many pitches in Ghana.”
“The key in football is to adapt; if it rains we have to adapt to the weather, if it is hot we have to adapt to the weather.”
“So complaining or wishing I had this or I had that is not something I’m looking at.”
“I’m looking at how the players are training hard. I’m happy at the current player’s effort in training. I can’t say yes I’m happy about the training pitch or no I’m not happy with the training pitch because that’s not my focus.”
Kenichi is expected to return Hearts back to the glory days after years of poor performances on the pitch.
