Goalkeeper Theophilus Jackson has been banned for a twelve calendar months by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association.
He misses the remainder of the current season which has four games to go.
The Eleven Wise goal tender was found guilty of charges for misconduct after assaulting Hearts of Oak striker, Samuel Affum during their league match on February 28 at the Sekondi Sports Stadium.
Jackson’s ban under Regulation 39(6)(c) takes immediate effect.
The club, Eleven Wise, have also been handed a GHC3,000 fine for the misconduct of its supporters after that particular league match.
Supporters of the club overpowered security personnel and attacked the referees.
