The GSE All-Share Index rose 13.78 points to close 6,176.87 points from 6,163.09 points.
This brings the gain so far this year to 10.85 percent.
Shares traded were four times higher at 840,507 shares valued at GH¢548,571.75 compared to 245,705 shares valued at GH¢17,942.05 million at the previous close on Monday.
On the broader market, there were four price changes equally shared between the laggards and the gainers.
Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) gained GH¢0.05 at GH¢1.00 and Produce Buying Company was up GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.11.
Ghana Oil Company (GOIL) dipped GH¢0.02 at GH¢0.18 and SG-SSB closed lower by GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.59.
Market Capitalization climbed up at GH¢17,952.56 million from GH¢17,942.05 million on Monday.
