World champions Germany departed the Stade de France this morning after opting to stay in their dressing room rather than return to their Paris hotel.
Joachim Low's squad remained in their dressing room at the 1998 World Cup final venue before travelling to Charles de Gaulle airport on Saturday morning for their flight back to Germany.
Fans were told to gather on the pitch at the end of the friendly match between France and Germany with two suicide attacks and a bombing near the stadium part of multiple attacks on the French capital. At least 127 have been confirmed dead in the Paris attacks.
It is not yet clear if Germany's friendly with the Netherlands will go ahead on Tuesday with the team "very affected" by the happenings after receiving messages from concerned friends and relatives.
“We are of course happy that we have landed safely, but our thoughts are with the relatives and the victim.
“The team is very affected, and therefore we decided to give them a day off today, for them to go home…and be with their loved ones." French president Francois Hollande was forced to leave the stadium during the match.
